Wigan Warriors: Fanzone

Wigan Warriors wanted to engage fans over and above the social media channels, which have proved to be very effective.

FANZONE
A site visit to The DW Stadium was arranged before the start of the 2017 new season, and various options presented themselves which allowed Adapt to form the basis a Fan Zone.
One of the key areas to focus on was the walkway from the main car park, which sees over 50% of all footfall to the stadium and it’s immediate surrounding area.

The creation of a branded walkway and welcome archway would act as a beacon for fans heading towards the stadium.

Once in the Fan Zone area it was key to create something engaging and give fans a reason to stay. A giant inflatable Fan HUB was created which would be used throughout the season and will house various activities from a Rugby Simulator challenge, Photographs taken with The Super League & World Champions Trophies presented in a souvenir folder to meet the Legends autographs /book signings and personalised photographs.

LED SCREEN
To enhance the Fan Zone experience Adapt hired a 70ft LED screen to show various content such previous games highlights, the players half time challenge footage, and even broadcasted a live U19 game that was taking place nearby.
